Here no one will get you up at 7am and onto a tour bus at 8:30 for 12 hours of sightseeing and eating unless you want to, of course. Sanya is for relaxing,forsun and sand,for water sports, hiking,and golf. Of course you can visit a Musilim fishing village farm, and the rocky Ends of the Earth. Sanya has 16 sea ports, 10 islands, and 180 kilometers of coastline. The urban population is about 120,OOO,the tota1380,000. The high tourist season isOctober to February. Sanya City has an urban area with stores, restaurants and hotels. Yalong Bay is part of Sanya but is primarily a beach resort. See Haikou above for special visa regulations. You can fly direct to Sanya from Haikou but you can fly from 25 other Chinese cities and Hong Kong. The international airport is 15 km north west of Sanya City. You can take air-conditioned buses from Haikou to Sanya from the East Bus station in Haikou. Buses leave every 20 minutes during the day. It takes about three hours and costs about Y90. Hiring a car for the same trip can cost about Y700-Y800. Star Cruises stop here seasonally from Hong Kong. Hope you have a nice trip in your Sanya Travel.
